Reasons Why. |
0 comment(s)
Reasons Why I Have Not Been Posting: 1. I was busy studying. 2. Then I was busy chilling out after the exams. 3. After that I was busy checking the exams scripts and getting my parents to sign. 4. And then I decided that there were more fascinating things to be done online than post. 5. Oh, then I was busy doing all sorts of random things that didn't include the computer. 6. I'm not a blogger-addict. I don't have to post just to get through my day. So I don't. 7. I think it's inconvenient to sign in and post. 8. I forgot my Blogger password. And ID. 9. I forgot where my on button is on my computer so I couldn't turn my computer on. 10. I wanted to post so badly that I attempted to use my mother's and father's computer to post but I forgot my Blogger password and ID, remember? 11. All of the above are excuses. 12. I couldn't be bothered, really. NOT The Reasons Why I Haven't Been Posting: 1. I don't want to post ever again. 2. I hate the world so no one is to come read my blog. 3. I forgot my Blogger password and ID. 4. I forgot where the on button was. 5. I don't want to post ever, ever again, so by not posting, I will feel happy. The Reasons for This Post. 1. To get LY to shut up, really. She really has to read something new on my blog. 2. She needs to read it badly. 3. I felt like it. 4. I felt that it'll be good to post. 5. So that people won't lose hope and never visit my blog again. Friday, October 9, 2009
Revisiting my older posts now. Found this: Since I don't have anything to say myself, I'll just type what other people said.
(Quotes, if you didn't get my drift.) And of course, being my critical self, I'll say some stuff about it. "There is only one thing, so powerful, that it can turn totally into hate. It's love." Okay, here's the thing. The person who said this obviously has a grudge against love, perhaps because he/she had a painful breakup. And if I'm going to be in their shoes...I'll probably agree with them. But I'm not heartbroken, so I'd say this instead: "There is only one thing, so powerful, that it cannot turn into any other emotion. It's love." "When I saw you I fell in love, and you smiled because you knew." Taking into consideration that this is said by maybe the most passionate person I've heard of, well, this isn't very romantic. But from a normal point of view, I guess it's a very straight forward way of saying it. I'd say: "I love you. And you know it." "...Take a fellow plain and uncoined constancy, for he perforce must do thee right, because he hath not the gift to woo in other places. For these fellows of infinite tongue that can rhyme themselves into ladies' favours, they do always reason themselves out again." Oh-kay. That's a long one. But...it's simple, really. I'd say: "Don't date players." "It is not in the stars to hold our destiny, but in ourselves." Very well said. Instead of staring into the night sky watching stars (but of course you're just thinking about your boyfriend, right?), and thinking about life (oh yeah. the greatest theory.) ... you might be better off in your room sleeping. Not that what i just said has anything to do with the quote. But it's a good one, so I shouldn't change it. (: What was I talking about? Blacklist |

Books I would not want to read again unless absolutely necessary: 1. House of Night novels. Zoey is ridiculously promiscuous. Erik is plain stupid. Loren is a liar and a waste of my time. Heath is a pest. Aphrodite is a headache. James is annoying. Just for the record, I am NOT reading Tempted. I don't see what's so tempting about it. 2. Shopaholic. What the hell was I thinking? I had a bad experience from Can You Keep A Secret and still, still I read it. Rebecca had serious issues with her credit card and cash, career and love life. She sleeps with Luke on the first date. Then she buys a whole truck load of random items when they went overseas (eg. wooden giraffes, a few sets of tables and chairs). And we all know she has an obsession with shopping. 3. Queen of Babble. If you think Shopaholic is bad, read the last book in this series. This girl doesn't have a problem (not much, anyway) with money, but with her mouth. She talks too much. Okay, so here's the deal. http://stolen-dream.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html#6245390468104699742 3. Princess Diaries. It is THE book that I would never want to get caught reading twice or more. A skim through is enough. Ideally, I never want to get caught reading this at all, but because I run out of available books in school, I borrow Ming En's, and she reads this.

For all the bored people in the world. Click this: http://www.i-am-bored.com/bored_link.cfm?link_id=8246 And suffer. Updates: 1. Penelope gets agitated when we play hangman. She's just furious that I guessed "Kimi Räikkönen". 2. Li Yun and I continue our battle in the field (during soft ball). 3. Jasmine has a fun time reading Julia Quinn. 4. I have a fun time guessing Chinese characters during the test (riiiiiiiiight). 5. I will have a fun time camping at Jasmine's house. 6. I had written a list entitled "How Jasmine can seduce him". His name is censored on this blog. 7. Esther has a runny nose. 8. Ming-en wanted the ebook for Untamed. I told her not to bother. 9. Jasmine's sister doesn't get what it means by 'to drink spirits'. 10. Jasmine keeps two books (on lists). 11. Kai Ling said 'shut up' twice to Miss Ang when Miss Ang said 'pens down'. The rest shall have to wait.

Here goes. At the field "You whacked my knee!" cries Li Yun. "You hit my shoulder!" I yell back. "Whatever!" ... ... Li Yun smiles at me. She tries to make it sweet. I find it cunning. "You can bat the ball. I know you want to." She hands me the softball. I shake my head and offer an equally friendly smile. "I'll throw." A moment passes and I decide to bat it. A while later, "What the-" "It's too close!" "What are you doing?" "I'm sorry!" "Fine!" "I'm nice that way." "Your turn!" "If you can bat it five times in a row it'll be my turn." "Ha!" "Fine, fine. But if I get it two times in a row, you'll bat." "Right." Li Yun bats the first one. Only because I threw it nicely. "Ha!" "Two times, Li Yun." "Whatever!" I throw the ball high. High enough for her to NOT be able to bat it twice in a row. I'm nice that way. In class, Science Mr Tan walks in. With a slightly shorter man tagging behind. The people at the back of our class goes into a frenzy - they had had to prepare an extra chair for the new teacher and they forgot. Eventually Eleanor kicks out her chair and the class is quieter. "Good morning," says Mr Tan. "This is Mr Tan." We laugh and he laughs too. Or rather, tries to. "Okay, you had your laugh, enough." He says nicely. And of course, no one noticed that he was wearing black again. I mean, everyone knows he'll wear black, but then they don't really bother to take special notice of these sort of things. As for me, I'm waiting for the day he wears some other colour besides black or dark blue. Even on Racial Harmony Day he was wearing a dull, dark blue. Is his wife colour blind? If he has one, that is. But I still hope. Colour might improve his mood. In Class, Literature. Mr Sim speaks on the characterisation of Lady MacBeth. "It's like the ghostly voice reverberates around the house." One word I had taken down in my phrase book only this year. "Confounds, not confronts." Another one. Sounds vaguely familiar. "I'll call it a grim pun." Uh-huh. "...the multitudinous seas incarnadine" It is the latter that makes my face go blank. "Speaking in hyperbole." This really is sad. I'd lost count of his vocabulary. I Hope You Dance Lyrics |

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder You get your fill to eat But always keep that hunger May you never take one single breath for granted God forbid love ever leave you empty handed I hope you still feel small When you stand by the ocean Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance I hope you dance I hope you dance I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance Never settle for the path of least resistance Living might mean taking chances But they're worth taking Lovin' might be a mistake But it's worth making Don't let some hell bent heart Leave you bitter When you come close to selling out Reconsider Give the heavens above More than just a passing glance And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance I hope you dance (Time is a real and constant motion always) I hope you dance (Rolling us along) I hope you dance (Tell me who) I hope you dance (Wants to look back on their youth and wonder) (Where those years have gone) I hope you still feel small When you stand by the ocean Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance Dance I hope you dance I hope you dance (Time is a real and constant motion always) I hope you dance (Rolling us along) I hope you dance (Tell me who) (Wants to look back on their youth and wonder) I hope you dance (Where those years have gone) (Tell me who) I hope you dance (Wants to look back on their youth and wonder) (Where those years have gone) My Dream about fishes |

Will be going to watch The Proposal with Li Yun tomorrow. Anyway. Posting for the sake of posting. I think my previous post is one of the best ever. One might notice that Li Yun's attempt (if any) for any cutting retorts are positively futile. Listening to I Hope You Dance. Pity, the lyrics kind of made me think that the song would be nice too. I dreamt about fishes last night. Don't ask why. I was staring down into this huge pond of koi fishes and the koi were swimming around like I wasn't there. You know when you approach a fish pond they all gather around in hope of you feeding them. But this time I just settled on the edge of the pond, watching them. The whole thing was so...serene. Anyway. Possible meanings of my dream: Hence only possible points are point 1, 2 and 3. I'm siding POINT ONE. |
